Ezra Blum, Administrative Assistant

Ezra Blum joined Heartland Youth Choir in October 2025 with an administrative background and a lifelong love of music rooted in years of choral experience. They are passionate about supporting HYC’s mission and creating a positive, organized experience for singers and their families.

Ezra now serves as the primary contact for the HYC office, managing communications and supporting the day-to-day administrative needs of the organization.

Originally from Washington State, Ezra moved to Des Moines in August 2023 and now lives with their partner, their 15-year-old dachshund, and their playful two-year-old cat. They are currently pursuing an Associate’s of Applied Science in Business with a specialization in Accounting through DMACC, with plans to further their studies at UNI.
