How to Join HYC

Heartland Youth Choir welcomes singers in grades PK-12 who enjoy singing, learning, and making new friends. No prior choir experience is required, just a willingness to participate and grow!

With six levels of ensembles, we provide age-appropriate musical instruction that helps singers build confidence, musicianship, and lasting friendships. Full and partial scholarships are available, and we are committed to ensuring that no family is turned away due to financial constraints.

Getting Started is Simple

1. Explore Our Choirs
Visit our Choirs page to find the ensemble that matches your child’s grade level and experience.

2. Placement (Grades 3 and Above)
Singers entering Cantilena (3-5), Chanté (4-7), Cantemus (6-8), or Chamber (8-12) will participate in a brief, supportive placement session to ensure the best musical fit. Singers in Musical Explorers - Cadet (ages 4-6) and Canto (K-2) may register directly.

3. Complete Registration
Once placement is complete (if required), families may complete online registration for the season.
