Registration & Placement

Registration is open for all new and returning members of Heartland Youth Choir!

Singers interested in Cantilena (3-5), Chanté (4-7), Cantemus (6-8), or Chamber (8-12) will first participate in a brief placement session to ensure the best musical fit. Singers registering for Musical Explorers or Canto may register directly.

Placement sessions are supportive, low-pressure opportunities for our directors to meet your singer and recommend the best ensemble for their growth! They usually take about 15-20 minutes.

Once placement is complete (if required), families may complete online registration for the 2025–2026 season using the button below.

Please note: You will need to know your singer’s assigned ensemble before completing registration. If you are unsure, contact the HYC Office at office@heartlandyouthchoir.org or 515-221-3922. Returning singers who have not yet completed placement may register for their previous choir level.
