Welcome back singers! Mrs. Bartemes can’t wait to start making music and preparing for HYC’s 23rd season with all of you!
Weekly Schedule for Fall 2025 - Tuesdays: 5:45pm-7:45pm
First Rehearsal Schedule - Tues. Sep. 9th
ALL singers will rehearse from 5:45-7:45
Parent meeting from 7:15-7:45 (each singer must have one parent/guardian present at this meeting). Singers may be picked up directly after the meeting
Retreat - Sat. Sep. 27th, 10:00am-5:30pm
Retreats are an important day to get a jump start on our learning music, and making friendships in our choirs. Cantemus will rehearse, play games, and lunch will be provided for singers. Parents and family are encouraged to attend our INFORMANCE at 5:00pm in the Sanctuary. Informances are chance to share our learning process to see that work that goes on in rehearsal, and all the skills your child is building by participating in HYC.
When: 10:00am Drop off, 5:00pm Informance (families arrive!), 5:30pm Pick up
Where: Windsor Heights Lutheran Church
Wearing: Informal Uniform (HYC provided t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers)
Bring: Binder, water bottle *snacks and lunch will provided, but students are welcome to bring their own if they have dietary concerns
Italy Tour 2026 - Sign up for the waitlist through Sep. 30!
HYC is heading to ITALY in the summer of 2026. Signups are the Sep. 30 of 2025, and singers will be placed on a waitlist at this time. If any singer drops across the nearly 200 that will be participating from across the country, you might still make it in! So if you were on the fence, sign up now, as spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
Tour scholarships are available to all families, so please do NOT let cost be your deciding factor.

P.S. if your singer does not currently have a US PASSPORT please be sure to start the process for application NOW. Passports should be in your possession 6-months prior to travel (aka December 2025) so don’t wait! First time, mionr children must apply in person, and often need an appointment. Please review travel guidelines and passport processing online and get it done as soon as you can.
