Snack Sign-up!
Sunday rehearsals deserve a snack at break time! EVERYONE should sign up for at least 1 week to bring snacks for the choir. If you can do more, please do! These will be distributed weekly by choir coordinators during break time at rehearsal.

AutumnSongs - Sun. Oct. 19
HYC’s first concert of the season is nearly here! This concert will celebrate American composers, styles and genres for all of our performing choirs. Tickets are required for friends and family, and are available on the website under “Tickets and Concerts” or to the side here.
When: Call Time 1:00p - Chamber head UPSTAIRS to 3rd floor, Wesley Hall - Concert 4:00p, doors open 3:30p
Where: Grace United Methodist Church, 3700 Cottage Grove, Des Moines, IA
Wearing: Informal Uniform (GREEN HYC t-shirt, long jeans, and closed toe shoes)
Bring: Water bottle, binder (snacks will be provided, but singers may bring their own for dietary constraints)
**Please note, there will be DINNER served downstairs following the concert. This is a great way to socialize with other HYC families, eat delicious food, and support our TOUR FUND for the spring! Tickets are available when you purchase for the concert as space is limited.

HYC Fall Fundraisers
Don’t forget to participate and spread the word for our current and upcoming fundraisers! These help support HYC’s general operations as well as special events like tours. Tuition doesn’t cover all our expenses, so spreading the word to friends, extended family, and co-workers helps lighten the financial load for everyone.

Trivia Night - Nov. 15 - Designed for adults to create a team/table for a fun night out with snacks, trivia, competition and prizes. Chamber singers can get service hours by volunteering to provide childcare at the event. Email office@heartlandyouthchoir.org if you want to help out. Italy Tour 2026 - Passports - for confirmed travelers
If your singer does not currently have a US PASSPORT please be sure to start the process for application NOW. Passports should be in your possession 6-months prior to travel (aka December 2025) so don’t wait! First time, mionr children must apply in person, and often need an appointment. Please review travel guidelines and passport processing online and get it done as soon as you can.
