Wed/Thurs. Dec 10-11 - The Nutcracker with Ballet Des Moines - CONFIRMED DETAILS
HYC is honored to be a special addition to this year’s performance of The Nutcracker. Familie who ordered tickets - they will be available at WILL CALL.
Singers are required to be at both the dress rehearsal on WEDNESDAY, as well as the performance on THURSDAY. Singers and families are encouraged to stay for the full performance as we are receiving FREE tickets for all performers.
If parents are attending, and would like to sit with their singer for act 2, please contact the office to get tickets placed together.
If your child must leave early from the performance, please email mary@heartlandyouthchoir.org directly as we will need to coordinate pickup outside of the theatre.
When: Wed. Dec. 10 REHEARSAL. Call time 3:50pm (We understand some may be running late from school, that is ok! Just let Mrs. B know)
Pick up approx. 6:15pm
Thurs. Dec. 11 PERFORMANCE - Call time 6:30pm Performance begins at 7:00pm, Pick up at end of show - approx. 9:15pm
(parents may unite with their student on the 2nd floor lobby during intermission if tickets are together, otherwise, all students will sit as a group with Mrs. B and the choir coordinators until the end of the show).
Where: Hoyt Sherman Place, 1501 Woodland Ave, Des Moines, IA 50314
Drop off at the Box office doors at the side entrance, and head upstairs to the 2nd floor lobby.
Wearing: Rehearsal (casual clothes are fine).
Performance: Formal Uniform (Black baxter Top and black bottoms), hair out of face, no jewelry
Sun. Dec. 14 - WinterSongs
HYC’s WinterSongs concert is always a highlight of the year, and our highest attend concert! Tickets are required for friends and family, and are available on the website under “Tickets and Concerts” or to the side here.
When: Call Time 1:10pm - go to Auditorium - Concert 4:00p - doors open 3:30p
Where: Sheslow Auditorium @ Drake University, 2507 University Ave. Des Moines, IA
Wearing: FORMAL Uniform (black baxter top, black bottoms, and black shoes) hair out of face, no jewelry or bows.
Bring: Water bottle if desired, but water snacks will be provided.
